Amanda L. Brown
Originally from Claremore, my career in medicine started in high school as God led me to become an EMT at the age of 17. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. I'm fluent and welcome Spanish-speaking patients!
I graduated AOA from the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine-Tulsa at the top of my medical school class. I completed my residency with In His Image Family Medicine Residency in Tulsa, growing my faith and medical skills simultaneously. In pursuit of becoming a well-rounded physician, I also completed a Christian counseling tract during my time in residency. After residency, I moved to Oregon where I owned my own practice before transitioning that practice to a direct primary care clinic. In 2018, I returned to Oklahoma to be closer to my family.
I enjoy teaching and, prior to starting with Remedy, was an Assistant Professor of Medicine with OU and then faculty with In His Image. I practice full-spectrum family medicine for all ages and genders including women’s health, geriatrics, joint injections and common in-office procedures. I love children and look forward to keeping them smiling and healthy.
When I'm not working, I love to travel with my family — I've been to 48 of the states and served on mission trips to Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, and Egypt! I met my husband while at OU and we now have 4 wonderful children, Judah, Abigail, Aryn and Jaalam. My husband works for Owasso Preparatory Academy where my kids attend school. He is also a local pastor for the Church of God (7th Day). I have a passion for children’s ministry and teach Sabbath school class at my church and run a national VBS every other summer.

I had interactions with some great physicians at various times while growing up in the small-town of Gans, Oklahoma. I was always inspired by how much of a difference a caring physician could make during difficult times. I have always wanted to be able to make that kind of a positive impact on the lives of others.
The thing that I am most excited for as a physician at Remedy Health is the ability to spend as much time as needed with patients. I have always felt the most important aspect of medicine is forming meaningful relationships and empowering patients to improve their own health through better understanding of their conditions and treatment options. Remedy affords me the opportunity to spend adequate time to form these bonds and provide access to my patients.
When not caring for patients, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children. My hobbies include fishing, hunting, and scuba diving.

Chelsea Berges
Growing up in Iowa, I have always wanted to live in a small town and offer a wide spectrum of services for all ages because I love to see the whole family. As a Remedy physician, I am able to be more available to my patients than I would be in other health systems. Remedy appointments are not rushed, so I can take the time necessary for my patients.
When I'm not at work, I enjoy hunting, running, painting, and doing chores on our small farm, like tending my many, many chickens.

Growing up, I knew that I wanted to be in a profession that helped people and allowed me to form relationships with people in my community. One of my high school teachers, who was a doctor and an ex Army Ranger, piqued my interest in medicine and started me on my road to becoming a doctor. When I was afraid and worried I couldn't do it, my boyfriend (now husband) always pushed me to keep going and to follow my dreams.
My favorite part of Remedy (besides the relationships I get to have with my patients, of course!) is the other people that I work with. All of my coworkers are kind, friendly, and always help me out when I have no clue where to find stuff or how to print from my computer.
When not at work, I spend much of my free time with my husband and 4 year old son. As you can expect, this means you can almost always find us at the park, splash pad, zoo, or with family. We are a classic car family as well, so we enjoy car shows and auctions. I have two dogs (Myrtle the Basset Hound and Callie the Italian Greyhound) and one cat (Kiki the fat loaf that complains all the time). I also enjoy reading, quilting, and hiding from my son while I eat candy.

Chris Beene
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be doctor. I graduated with my MD from the OU School of Medicine and completed my residency at University of Texas At Tyler. Now, I'm grateful to work as a Remedy doctor because I enjoy getting to know my patients well enough to care for them as people as well as empowering them attain their best health.
When I'm not practicing medicine, enjoy spending time with my wife, Courtney, and our children, Hunter and Colton or going hunting, fishing, hiking and spending time at the lake. I am the oldest of 10 children, and I attend Kings House Church.

Chris Sudduth
Combined interests in math and science alongside my extroverted personality and sincere desire to help others led me to pursue medicine. After practicing medicine for many years in more traditional settings, I chose to pursue the direct primary care (DPC) route. I realized the American healthcare delivery system was broken, and severely inhibiting the attainment of health for my patients while also hindering the ability of physicians to practice good medicine.
As a DPC doc, it brings me joy to deeply and meaningfully care for every one of my patients! I enjoy spending time getting to know each of them, helping them identify health needs and goals, and then partnering with them to achieve those goals.
When I'm not at work I spend time with my lovely wife, our four boys, and little girl who keep us busy playing sports, reading, swimming, building with LEGO's, watching Dude Perfect, and creating art and music together. I also enjoy spending time working on my small farm, growing a variety of berries and fruit, and working out on the land. Most of all, I love having people over to the house to eat a meal together and hang out. Lastly, Grace & Peace Church is a special place where our souls are refreshed.

I was inspired to practice medicine because I wanted to serve and help others. I love that being at Remedy means I get to spend more time with patients because it makes a deeper impact on their health.

Being a dancer & having surgery as a child made me aware of how vulnerable the human body is. I'm innately curious and love solving problems.

James Wingo
I was an army brat the first 15 years of my life. After retiring, my parents returned to Raton New Mexico to help care for their parents. It was there that I discovered the sciences and my passion to become a primary care physician. I attended medical school at the University of New Mexico and had the opportunity to follow and work with the physicians in "my home town". I completed residency training in internal medicine/pediatrics at OU-Tulsa and have practiced both inpatient and outpatient medicine. I really enjoy spending quality time with my patients.
I met my wife Janice during residency. We have 2 daughters, Erin (a 1st grade teacher in Oologah) and Lindsey (a physician associate student at OU-OKC).
I enjoy swimming, walks with my wife, woodworking, playing guitar, and baritone horn playing.
James Wingo

Jason Macias
Medicine is the perfect blend of my passion for people and science. Upon graduating high school, I joined the U.S. Army. After completing active duty, I served in the Oklahoma National Guard and dove into my studies to become a doctor. My interest began with biomedical science and quickly evolved into an interest in medicine. Starting my education in biology, I was drawn to biomedical science and internal medicine to care for the Tulsa community.
As a Remedy Health team member, I am excited to be able to practice quality medicine and get to know patients without the constraints of a typical practice. I am able to focus on their needs as opposed to having to expedite care and meet quotas.
When I'm not at work, I enjoy staying active and spending time with my wife and family.

I have always had a love for science and a love for serving people and becoming a PA allowed me a great opportunity to do both! Before I started my journey to become a PA, I worked as a CNA and learned so much about patient care and service.
Before starting with Remedy I was granted the wonderful opportunity to have a clinical rotation with Remedy Health and it was such a vastly different experience than any other rotation site that I had previously gone through, in that it felt more patient oriented. So my favorite thing about Remedy Health is that I get to spend a lot of time with my patients. I love that I get the opportunity to really get to know them and to learn about their own health goals and how we can work together to get there. I love the fact that I get to be a part of someone's health journey and that I can provide education, support, and guidance but in the end they still remain the hero of their own story.
I love to read and to bake so I'm always looking for good book and recipe recommendations. I am very family oriented so I love to spend time with my family and friends and I love to go to sporting events including football and basketball.

Initially, I started working in medicine a a nurse, receiving my RN, BSN from Oklahoma Baptist University and working at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City on an intermediate care unit for about three years. After a medical missions trip to Swaziland in Africa, however, I felt led to further my education and become a Nurse Practitioner. I wanted to be able to help patients in a more advanced role, so I attended Midwestern State University and started practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2013.
Now as a Nurse Practitioner at Remedy, I really enjoy the time I get with patients. There is no rush for a certain amount of patients to be seen, which opens up that time to carefully consider each patient and their specific situation. There is a lot of flexibility with the job including where patients are seen, which can include their homes, if they are unable to make it to the clinic. Patients have access to me, but I also have access to them to be able to easily follow up on such things as whether or not a certain treatment plan is working or not.
Outside the clinic, I love spending time with my family. I'm married to David and we have two kids, William and Hazel. We recently got a new dog, Jett, and have enjoyed having him as an addition to the crew. Some of my favorite things include: singing, playing the piano, and learning to play the mandolin. I also love being out on the lake, water sports, hiking, camping, and traveling. I have really enjoyed living in McAlester and being a part of the community and my church home at First United Methodist Church.

I always knew I wanted to be a physician, but that decision was truly solidified after my parents were in a car accident when I was a teenager. I knew I wanted to help people to get back to being able to live a healthier life, so I went to Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Being a Remedy doctor means I get to enjoy working with patients on a deeper level to truly help them to gain health and wellness in their life. It's awesome that Remedy empowers me to have longer appointment times, so more time can be spent diving into patients' lives and learning more about their needs. I also have time to study up on the latest research so I can truly help people regain their health.
When I'm not at work, I'm with my husband, Justin, and our three, beautiful children, Jordan, Kaden, and Keegan. We also might have "too many" animals: seven dogs, two cats, and two horses! Our family loves traveling and SCUBA diving together! In my free time, I also enjoy reading and competing in sprint triathlons.

Kaitlin Sauser
I grew up in a small town and admired the comprehensiveness of the local family physician to know the patient and their community. At McAlester High School and the University of Oklahoma, I was interested in studying the sciences and especially human physiology and pathology. I went to Oklahoma State University for medical school and did special training in rural Oklahoma that helped me understand the needs of our state. My training at In His Image residency program helped me incorporate my faith into my practice of medicine considering spiritual aspects of health.
At Remedy, I am excited to have the time needed to educate patients and come alongside them in their health journey. In each appointment I strive to make sute sure I felt the patient gained knowledge, perspective, and confidence they did not have before.
When I'm not at work, I love spending time with my husband, RJ, and our daughters, Hattie and Eloise. We all love doing any activity outdoors, family walks, hiking, and going to the lake or ocean.

I am a board-certified Family Practitioner with extensive experience in clinical medicine in the Tulsa
area since 1999. I am a graduate of Broken Arrow High School and the University of Tulsa. My medical training and
residency were completed with the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center where I was a
Graduate with Distinction.
I enjoy seeing patients of all ages, backgrounds, and multiple generations of the same family. I am
thrilled to work with physician-owned Remedy Health that shares my same goals of doing health care
better! In the Direct Primary Care model we dedicate adequate appointment time to allow the
physician-patient relationship to develop, grow, and thrive. This time is spent promoting healthy
lifestyles and preventive care, chronic disease management, as well as same-day acute care needs.
I am proactive in preventive care and enjoy promoting health and wellness practices. I am passionate
about providing patient-centered care to my patients. My desire is to help my patients live healthier and
happier lives.
My husband and I support the local performing arts and can frequently be found at concerts, musicals,
and plays in Tulsa. We also are huge hockey fans and love seeing games when possible. We enjoy hiking
and being outdoors and active.
I look forward to meeting you and your family!

Pamela Grafton
Growing up, I had several experiences with doctors, both for my own health and family members. Watching physicians help patients and solve problems inspired me. I graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency in Family Medicine. Remedy Health allows me to create the clinic environment that I want. I get to spend more time with patients and their families. I enjoy a variety of appointments throughout the clinic day, but my favorites are when patients return to share their success stories (blood pressure under control, weight loss, pregnancy, etc).
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our fur babies. We enjoy gardening, cooking, and traveling for random concerts.

I pursued nursing because I've always been interested in helping people. I remember being fascinated by health and healthcare in high school, so it just seemed like the right path for me. One thing I enjoy about Remedy is that I'm able to spend more time truly getting to know my patients and getting to the correct diagnosis.
When I'm not at work I enjoy time with my husband Christopher, my son, Rory, and our cat, Twix. My hobbies include reading, running, and biking. I'm also a big sports fan. I love watching hockey, football, and basketball. Go Razorbacks!

I was inspired to practice medicine to not only help those in need but to listen well, be an example and let patients know I am there for them.
I love the fact that quality time with a patient is a top priority at Remedy Health.
When not working, I love spending time with my wife and two children at horse shows, on the farm, at the lake, or snow skiing. I also like staying fit by attending daily HIIT classes.

Stephen Calvert
My first college physics class at Baylor University washed me out of engineering and into a pre-med biology program where a passion for medicine and desire to serve others was kindled. I joined the student run campus ambulance service after completing EMT training, played in a college band, worked hard in biology and completed an academic minor in music before being accepted into the University of Oklahoma Medical School. I trained in the Med-Peds program at OU Tulsa then practiced both hospital and clinic based medicine. I enjoy getting to know patients and taking the time to understand their needs.
There are two dogs at the Calvert house that keep everyone busy. When not spending time with my family I enjoy fishing and blacksmithing custom kitchen knives.

I am an “Okie,” born and raised in Oklahoma. I was a competitive gymnast and collegiate cheerleader which developed my passion for health and exercise. I loved math and science and the two combined lead me to my interest in medicine and becoming a PA before many people even knew about a Physician Assistant. I graduated with a Bachelors in Nutritional Science from Oklahoma State University and then went on to attend the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine to complete my Master’s degree in Physician’s Associate. I have practiced as a PA in Family Medicine since 2007, seeing mostly adolescents and adults with a passion for women’s health.
I am excited to be a part of the Remedy Team. After facing a health challenge myself, I learned the importance of having the time and empathy to listen to my patients to provide the most accurate diagnosis; this model of medicine will allow me to provide this care. I love to teach, educate, and partner with my patients to obtain their best health.
I enjoy spending time with my husband and three daughters. We also live on land with chickens, fruit trees, and a garden. We have two dogs, a bloodhound, Rosie and a Golden Retriever, Rocky as well as a bunny, Flop! I love to travel, cook, and exercise and watch my girls doing the sports they love! We have attended Life.Church for over 20 years. Go Pokes!!
