James Wingo
I was an army brat the first 15 years of my life. After retiring, my parents returned to Raton New Mexico to help care for their parents. It was there that I discovered the sciences and my passion to become a primary care physician. I attended medical school at the University of New Mexico and had the opportunity to follow and work with the physicians in "my home town". I completed residency training in internal medicine/pediatrics at OU-Tulsa and have practiced both inpatient and outpatient medicine. I really enjoy spending quality time with my patients.
I met my wife Janice during residency. We have 2 daughters, Erin (a 1st grade teacher in Oologah) and Lindsey (a physician associate student at OU-OKC).
I enjoy swimming, walks with my wife, woodworking, playing guitar, and baritone horn playing.
